This page is for Distance and Online learning courses only (where you received a physical manual together with exam coupon codes).
If you are completing a SAGE E-LEARNING course (i.e. where the course is loaded for you on the SAGE UNIVERSITY SageU website when you register) then you need to login to Sage University website and see the course expiry date there.
For CLASSROOM and VIRTUAL COURSES (Microsoft Teams, Zoom) you don’t use a coupon code for your exam. It’s loaded automatically on SageU for you. If you have any questions, please contact your instructor on the course.

You will receive a Sage exam Coupon Code that allows you to write the exam.
If you are on a payment plan, you will only receive the coupon code once you make the final payment i.e. once the course is fully paid up.

How the Coupon Code works ?
Once you register for the exam using coupon code (instructions for this are in the Student Portal if you have Portal access, or sent to you separately if you don’t), you will have 1 year from that date to write the exam.
Once you register for the exam with the coupon code, you will see the exam being available to take in SageU (and it will show the expiry date of the exam as well)
From a Sage perspective the idea is that once you register with us, you also register for the exam at the same time, and therefore you will have one year to complete the exam from that date.

What happens if you don’t register the coupon code immediately ?
The one year only starts counting down from the date you register the coupon.
So let’s say you registered with us today. And then only 1 year from now you register on Sage U for your exam, using your exam coupon code, this means you would have 2 years to complete the exam.
This is why we recommend registering only when you’re ready to write.

IMPORTANT THING TO NOTE
Sage currently don’t expire the exam coupon codes.
However, this could happen at any time in the future.
So if you don’t register the code in 1 year from the date of registering and Sage then causes codes older than a year to expire, you would have to then purchase a new code.
So if you want to be safe and still have the longest time period set to write, then register your exam coupon code just before the 1 year time period is up. This will effectively give you 2 years to complete the course.

What happens if your code expires ?
You have to purchase a new code. You don’t have to re-register for the course.

I saw that it says 6 months from date of registration.
This is an error. It is 1 year from the date of registration.
